MSFC’s Conference on Family Planning

MSFC’s Conference on Family Planning is renowned for providing medical students and students of other health professions the abortion and family planning education they will not receive during their formal schooling. From hands-on opportunities to learn techniques to thoughtful explorations of personal issues related to providing abortion, MSFC’s Conference on Family Planning provides a safe environment for learning and networking with fellow students and mentors.

More than 5,000 students have attended this conference over the past 20 years and many have returned as teaching faculty for this extraordinary conference. We hope you'll join us in 2016!

Medical Students for Choice is now accepting workshop proposals to be presented at MSFC’s 2016 Conference on Family Planning that will be held in Phoenix, AZ on December 3 – 4, 2016.


MSFC will accept proposals for lectures, panels, and interactive sessions from individuals and organizations. Each session will be an hour long with fifteen minutes for questions. There will be several sessions taking place concurrently during each time period. Submission of a proposal indicates that participants have confirmed their availability for the conference dates. The conference registration fee will be waived for speakers, but speakers will be responsible for their own travel, lodging and meals outside of the conference.


Guidelines for Submission

Please submit all workshop proposals via email to meetings@msfc.org by April 1, 2016.


Proposals should:

  • Include author/co-author identification including names, credentials, mailing address, daytime phone number, and email address.
  • Describe in detail what your proposed workshop will entail, including 3 – 4 learning objectives for the workshop.
  • List all participants.

The Medical Students for Choice Conference on Family Planning is the premier conference for medical students interested in reproductive health and family planning!
We bring in expert faculty from around the world to cover a wide range of reproductive health topics. More often than not, these workshops and seminars cover subject matter excluded from the standard medical school curriculum. Lectures and interactive workshops incorporate:
